The Tiger is the largest species among the Felidae (cat).
It is most recognisable for its dark vertical stripes and
reddish-orange fur with a lighter underside.

The tiger is endangered throughout its range, which
stretches from Siberian temperate forests to subtropical
and tropical forests on the Indian subcontinent
and Sumatra.

The Siberian tiger (P.tigris altaica) is the largest,
measuring up to 13 ft (4 metres) in total length and

Tigers are mainly nocturnal predators, and they usually
hunts by night and preys on a variety of large animals
such as deer and wild boar.
