Zebra

Zebra
(Equidae)

Zebras are closely related to horses but
they are not in the same species. The most
prominent feature of zebras is their distinctive
black-and-white striped coats.

Zebras are very speedy animals, and can reach
speeds of 65 kph when galloping across the plains.

They are widespread across vast areas of southern
and eastern Africa, where they live in their
preferred habitat of treeless grasslands
and savannah woodland.
