Grizzly Bear
(Ursus arctos ssp.)
The Grizzly Bear, is a large brown bear inhabiting
North America. The Kamchatka Bear inhabiting
Russia and Northern China.
Bears have been hunted since prehistoric times
for their meat and fur. Large adult bears maybe
about 2.5 m(8 ft) long and weigh about 410 kg
(900 lb). They can run as fast as 48 km per
hour (30 mph).
Grizzly bears are omnivorous animals, but
mostly eat vegetation and fruits. They also
like to eat honey and salmon.
